See your doctor: Could me muscle spasm, but could not exclude pleural effusion, pneumonia, pneumetorax (air in you chest). If you are short of breath on exertion or at rest - go to ER, otherwise see your doctor. You also likely need a chest x-ray

Sharp pains: See your doctor so you can have a proper physical examination and if necessary a chest x-ray. Your symptoms may be musculoskeletal, however, given your history of asthma a respiratory cause needs to be ruled out.

Take albuterol neb: you did not say how long you have had pain. It is possible that you are wheezing and not aware of it. Continue to take the singulair (montelukast) and take one breathing treatment with albuterol nebulizer. After which you must see your Pediatrician.
