I have uncomplicated uti. some bladder wall inflammation. waiting to see urologist. bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) makes me sick. will amoxicillin work? urine clear

Depends: Amoxicillin may work, but many antibiotics could work. Make sure you get a urine culture, and the sensitivities will tell you what bug is growing and what would work for it. Being a male, a "UTI" would need more workup by a urologist, so keep that appointment.
