Yes: When the brains balance is off as happens in major depression there can be a lot of twists and turns. One mistake that is easy to do is to over react to symptom changes. Some of the medicine can take months to work. Sometimes the best thing we can do as doctors is to stay the course and give it time. Hang in there.
