Since i cant break a 50 mg seroquel (quetiapine) xr tablet in half is it possible to take it every other day as a way of tapering off since 50 is the lowest dose?

Seroquel (quetiapine) taper: Remember that whenever changing a psychiatric medication regimen, all medication changes should be carried out in collaboration with your treating doc. Never stop a psychiatric medication "on your own". If you and your doc do plan to taper off seroquel, (quetiapine) it is available in a non XR formulation which comes in smaller tablet strengths and can be split for better tapering. XR every other won't do :/
