A member asked:

I have been diagnosed with tonsillitis, does tonsillitis cause neck pains front and back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Front usually: Acute tonsillitis often is accompanied by cervical lymphadenopathy (swollen glands). I do not think this inflammatory disease (infection) would cause pain in the back of your neck. That is usually, at your age, muscle tension. But the pain in the front of your neck is very commonly associated with acute tonsillitis.
