See neurologist: Trigeminal nerve or facial nerve neuralgia. Episodic neuropathic pain disorders are characterized by sudden volleys of intense, sharp stabbing pain of short duration that occur along the unilateral distribution of the involved nerve (Trigeminal or Facial). Ergonomics has no role in this complex neurologic disorder.
