A member asked:

Can your skin color change if you got a blood transfusion before a hemorrhoid surgery? especially blood from a different race

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It may: Race isn't a factor. If you've turned a bit yellow, your physician may want to work you up for a delayed hemolytic transfusion reaction. And of course if your anemia is corrected you look better. Best wishes.
