Rice: Rest, ice, compression, elevation. Out of all, rest is most important. If pain persists see an Ortho specialist.

Keep immobile : You have likely suffered soft tissue injury ie ligament, tendon etc .. Keep it immobile by using a splint and use NSAID cream like voltaran gel daily and it should get better in a few days ... If not better you can see a doc for X-ray ..
