A member asked:

I hit my ear with palm of hand an it's been ringing for a day will it ever stop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Philip Miller answered

Yes: You probably irritated your inner ear and/or auditry nerve. Mild antiinflammatory medicines such as Advil or Aleve (naproxen) will help reduce swelling.
