A member asked:

Is revolade is safe for long term use in itp for a heart patiant and diabaties patient already having a stun?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eltrombopag: I've never personally used the drug but I looked it up and read about it: it's main toxicity is in the liver and shouldn't be given to people with liver disease. There are no warnings for either heart patients or for patients with diabetes. It's intended for long term use. You should remain under the supervision of the prescribing physician. The drug is generally safe with monitoring.
