They should be.: Doctors should be asking about all present and past medical history, including mental health issues, of the patient and their family, before prescribing any medications. This would especially be the case for Isotretinoin, which can cause depression.and suicidality, as well as other side effects. Doctors prescribing this will weigh the benefits vs risks before doing so.
