It depends: on the cause of the CKD. For most people with stable CKD, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors or angiotensin-receptor blockers are often prescribed. If a person has diabetes, glycemic control is important for CKD as is good control of hypertension. If you have CKD you should discuss with your physician based one's type of CKD.
