Many: Alcohol consumption interferes with anesthesia and pain medication. Red wine is a blood thinner and causes more bleeding. Better get sober prior and after surgery.

Bleeding: Probably the biggest risk involved would be bleeding, as daily alcohol interferes with your ability to clot your blood properly. You could also have increased risk of infection and increased effects of the medications you are given (because your liver may not function properly). Be sure to let your surgeon know if you are a regular/frequent drinker.
