Mouth: Breathe through your mouth. Do not try to synch your breathing with your stride/cadence. It may find a way there sometimes, but do not force it. Depending on the terrain, incline and effort, your breathing will vary due to your demand for oxygen. Go with the flow. Have fun.

Diaphragmatic breath: Inhale through your nose into your belly so your belly expands like a balloon. Slowly breathe out through your nose, using your stomach muscles to push your belly back in until all the air is pushed out.
