Why my last 2 colds have given me a fever when sick?

Can happen.: Cold can be from various reasons like allergies, vasomotor rhinitis, and infections. If the cause is infection then fever is likely. Fever is either absent or a low grade with most of the virus infections, except with viruses like flu. If a bacterial infection is involved on top of the cold then fever can be high.
