A cataract: Is an opacity of your lens causing symptoms of not being able to see as well as before but you will need an ophthalmologist to definitely diagnose and treat

Cataract Surgery: Most eyeMD's will try to give the best glasses rx possible & be sure the tear film is working its best: tear film is like a pair of glasses: if unstable it decreases vision quality & quantity. If have best glasses & tear film great & still have decreased vision, glare (esp night driving), halos around lights, a cataract is likely present & surgery likely best option.
