A member asked:

Can you tell me how are some people born without feeling pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rare: Congenital insensitivity to pain is not a good thing to have. Fortunately, it is quite rare. People born with this condition constantly injure parts of their bodies and because they don't feel pain, the self injuring behavior does not change. It is not their fault but eventually they destroy their joints and have many health problems due to the repeated injuries.
