Depends: Treatment of arthritic shoulders depends on causes and severity. If rheumatoid arthritis that needs to be controlled first. Then a joint replacement can be performed even at your age. If post traumatic and steroid injections no longer help then an arthroscopic clean out might help buy time. When you can not tolerate pain you will need a joint replacement and a decrease in activities.
