Shoulder pain: If your xrays show arthritis and your shoulder hurts on a constant basis and not relieved by any medication then it is time to consider a shoulder replacement.

Shoulder pain: I would suggest talking to an orthopedic surgeon. Look at the aaos website for doctors in your area. If pain is constant it may be time for a replacement.
