Depends: Did you hurt your shoulder? Do you have fever? Any other joints hurting? You may watch and wait. In the interim you may take acetaminophen, not exceeding 4.0 gm/day and no alcohol. If it gets worse or does not get better in a couple of weeks, it would be prudent to consult your doctor.

Shoulder pain: If there has been no recent sprain or other injury and pain is produced or aggravated by shoulder motion, tendonitis is a likely diagnosis. Try cold alternating with hot moist applications and take anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or naproxen,if you can, for a week. If symptoms persist see your MD or an orthopedic specialist.
