A member asked:

What to do if my friend recently found out that she had cysts in her ovaries, and had a ca125 test.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Watch: Cysts in ovaries not uncommon and can be defined as simple or complex or even converting by a solid component. Ca125 means Carbohydrate antibody 125. Sugar markers like Ca125, Ca 19.9 Ca 17.1a have no diagnositic capabilities since they are elevated in inflammatory conditions. Ca monclonals can only be measured safely in known conditions of cancer to see progression or not.
