A member asked:

Hello, my ca125 is under 35 and my he4 is 70 and cea is 39. i have a bening ovarian cyst in my right ovary, 9cm. doctor want to operate the cyst. do i need to operat this? if yes, do they remove the ovary completely? the doctor said they might remove?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most ovarian cysts are benign and can be left alone. Hence they can be followed with an Ultrasound to check on their growth/increase in size periodically(6 monthly). Further we need to know if there is any solid mass inside the cyst. So tell us if you have had more than one Ultrasound showing growth is size. We also need to know if you have any symptoms...why did you get tested in the first place?
