Non specific: An ovarian cyst that gets to be larger than 5cm should be investigated for the possibility of having undergone malignant transformation. The only dx can be by excisional bx. CA 125 stands for carbohydrate antibody/antigen which has about a 50% accuracy in diagnosis and should only be used for monitoring, that is the response or failure to chemo or other forms of treatment.
