Oral appliance : therapy is an alternative treatment for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea for patients who are CPAP intolerant. The device fits like a sports mouth guard or orthodontic retainer. There are a variety of oral appliances that can treat obstructive sleep apnea and need to be individually chosen. See an OFP specialist, they are also an expert in dental sleep disorders.
