As a 49 year old man: there is not anything you can do physically about short fingers at this point in your life. Even at a young age there are limited procedures. While there is discussion about lengthening digits at a young age one must be very very careful as this affect not just length but the joints, tendons and formation of parts. Its not as simple as just adding length. Function: most do well but vary alot

Nothing at 50: At your age there are no surgical interventions that would be successful in reconstruction. I would advise a genetic counseling appointment ,as there are many forms of brachydactyly with different degrees of genetic penetration and associated abnormalities, to better understand your situation and the potential for its impact on your relatives.
