Bloating: Metformin has some side effects such as bloating, diarrhea, and Gastrointestinal issues. When used in the right patients (Insulin resistance) then it can help with fertility. Metformin is no longer recommended as a single agent to treat fertility. You should be using another medication like Clomid (clomiphene) or Clomid (clomiphene) alone without metformin. For more information talk to a fertility doctor.

It helps: Hi. Metformin is a standard therapy in PCOS, and improves ovulation. Many women with PCOS achieve pregnancy using metformin, without having to resort to clomiphene. Metformin is generally well tolerated, but some people simply cannot take it because of GI issues (usually diarrhea is the limiting complaint). Good luck!
