What is it like to take metformin for weight loss and what was the outcome?

May loose some ....: Lost weight is likely related to gastrointestinal side effect like nausea, fullness, not as a direct effect of the medication, only take if you are a diabetic.

Trivial: Hi. Metformin doesn't do squat for weight loss; it's weight neutral. There are FDA-approved drugs for weight loss, Qsymia & Belviq, (lorcaserin) which are far more effective than metformin (and far more expensive, unfortunately). There are type 2 diabetes drugs that help with weight loss too, although they're not approved solely for that purpose (GLP-1 agonists & SGLT-2 inhibitors). Good luck!
