Infant constipation: Constipation in infants is not defined by how often they go, but rather the consistency of the stools. You describe hard stools that are difficult for the baby to pass - that is constipation. I would start with adding extra fluids in the form of water or juice to help soften stools. If don't feel good about the addictive/sugary juice, then can use MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) daily-ask pediatrician about dose.
