Start simple: If not diabetic or other diet restrictions, and will eat them, try increasing fruits (apple juice / sauce, prunes, etc.). Otherwise, can confirm w/pediatrician, but 1/2 cap MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) into morning drink can help keep water in stool during transit and make it much more comfortable to pass.
