Sorry to hear about: your experience. PTSD is a normal respone to trauma as we try to adjust to what happened. A mental heath professional can facilitate that process. Please don't continuously repeat the story. Recent research suggests this can re-traumatize. Speaking about it is ok, but not in great detail, unless to therapist.

Agree w' Dr Self: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) can help rapidly with PTSD especially if soon after the traumatic event.
