Define potential: Potential is just that,the height you can reach if everything goes right.It is genetically determined, but sometimes illness or hormonal excesses reak havoc on the system and stop growth too soon. Normal kids who are given growth hormone to kick start a delay of growth do not exceed their expected height. If you mean "projected height" as defined by various formulas, they are occasionally exceeded
