A member asked:

How do you know when a uti has become a kidney infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pyelonephritis: This is characterized generally by high fever, chills, nausea, flank, groin and pelvic pain, increased frequency and urgency of urination, and qualitative and quantitative changes in urine (malodor, pus, blood, cloudiness). If you have any of these you should see a doctor immediately since this can be a life-threatening illness. Good luck
