Kidney infect is UTI: Kidney is the top end of the urinary tract. Kidney infections can be associated with high fever, back pain, nause & vomiting & blood in urine with or without symptoms of a lower tract UTI which are burning on urination, urinary frequenc and urgency. Some have blood urine with cystitis (bladder uti), foul smelling urine possible with both. Fever uncommon with cystits although urine feels hot.
