Possible but: Nasoseptal deviation may occasionally lead to sinusitis but the more common cause is from nasal congestion leading to obstruction of sinus drainage. If the septal deviation is severe, then it is ok to go ahead with it. I usually recommend people to get a 2nd opinion before proceeding with surgery since some nasoseptal deviation is present in everyone and only the severe ones should have surgery.
