Healthy foods: The best way to loose weight is by avoiding foods high in fat and minimizing carbohydrate and sugar intake. Regular exercise, if possible after the stroke, is very helpful. Medical conditions such as thyroid disease and sleep apnea can effect your ability to loose weight. Be sure to have regular check ups and consider seeing a nutritionist.

Depends...: If you have a high risk for diabetes there are medications specific to that risk. There are herbal supplements as well. Phentermine is not optimal however.
