I sprained my ankle last week. how long should i take mefenamic acid for? if i stop there is a throbbing pain when i stand. done x-ray not a fracture.

Sprained ankle: I would take the medication for anywhere fro 7-10 days. As there is no fracture you should heal up without any problem - each day you will notice less pain. I would also suggest that you use some form of ankle support like an ace wrap when on your feet and walking.
