Birthing Hips: "Birthing hips" is a slang term referring to large hips. In the past, this was assumed to be a good sign of reproductive ability and ease of childbirth, but this is not in fact the case. The ease with which a woman can give birth is dependent on many factors, and the size of the hips is not one of them.
