See a doctor: Treatment will vary depending on the location and extent of your toe lesion. Given the fact that it is painful and producing fluid you may need antibiotics. See a doctor as soon as possible for a proper evaluation.

Infected: Infections of the toe and by the nail are fairly common. Before lancing it might be better to apply warm soaks and apply local antibiotic ointment like Bacitracin. Continue to soak in warm water and apply ointment now. If it does not improve or worsens see your physician. If you have a family history of diabetes you may want to get your glucose checked. Take care and good health.

Infection : I would suggest soaking it in Epsom salt dissolved in warm water daily and applying antibiotic ointment to the area. If no improvement or it looks worse in a couple of days, then see your doctor because you may need to start an oral antibiotic. It sounds like you may have an ingrown nail that caused it and it may need to be cut out so it doesn't continue to happen.
