Hematoma: Sounds like you have a hematoma. It's even possible that you fractured your hyoid bone. (http://www.healthline.com/human-body-maps/hyoid-bone) If you have no difficulty breathing, talking or swallowing, it's not dangerous but could be a cosmetic issue (?)
