R/0 CSF rhinorrhea: If blowing your nose causes a headache, there could be a microscopic communication between the base of the skull and the upper nose. This problem can be diagnosed by a neuro-surgeon, neurologist, or radiologist. Also be careful that you do not apply too much positive pressure to the middle ear. Obviously you have to learn not to pinch your nostrils when you blow your nose.
