See a doctor: A bulge in the abdomen is not normal. There are several possibilities, including a hernia. Please see a doctor for an examination.

Bulge: Sounds like a abdominal muscle hernia. If the bulge is in the center it's where the 2 abdominal muscles meet and if the tendon is stretched to much you get a "bulge" when you for example do a sit up. If its near your belly butt

Surgery before?: Have you had surgery before? What you describe sounds as though it could be a hernia in the abdominal wall, perhaps at the site of a previous scar such as an incision from gallbladder surgery. This would be called a ventral hernia. If it is painful, or you have nausea or vomiting, see your doctor at once. Otherwise, this can be evaluated at your next checkup.
