Ortho Evaluation: Have yourself evaluated by an orthodontist. When it is determined if your overjet is skeletal or dental in nature, then treatment options can be given to you.

Cause: Have to determine if over jet is dental, skeletal, or both. Is it a one jaw or a two jaw problem. Are there issues of overbite, cross-bite, crowding, spacing, rotations, etc., to be simultaneously treated. Please see a qualified Orthodontic Specialist for initial examination (usually free or modest cost) and a discussion of the best treatment for you.

Orthodontist: If your upper front teeth protrude a significant amount over your lower teeth, you may be able to have this corrected orthodontically. Find and consult with an orthodontist.
