A member asked:

Is it normal for a pregnant female to have proteinuria in her urine during her 3rd month of pregnancy?what should be done to avoid proteinurea?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

How much?: While some protein in urine is normal in late pregnancy, the amount should be less than 300 mg in 24 hours. I trust that the patient is under the care of a physician and had her blood pressure monitored and been checked for diabetes. See this site for more info. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17229328
