A member asked:

I hear blood flow much clearer in my left ear than my right. what can it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Carotid artery: I have answered this question a few times but I will do it again. Anatomically, the carotid artery ( the great artery of the neck is just adjacent to the cochlea ( the inner ear) and sometimes, people become aware of this pulsation. At age 22, do worry about this. However in a very rare case, the pulsation could be due to a glomus tumor, a benign blood vessel tumor that can be in the middle ear
