Congrats: Many parents wonder about the outcome of their pregnancy. You will most likely have 1-2 ultrasounds during your pregnancy as well as a blood test. These are screening tests for the baby for a variety of diseases and physical traits. Don't drink alcohol or be around smokers; take your prenatal vitamins everyday and get plenty of rest and healthy foods. Keep your OB appts.

Congrats!: Not all defects or deformities can be diagnosed while the baby is still inside the uterus. But at 20-24wks, you should undergo a special ultrasound called the anatomy scan that looks at all the essential developing parts of the baby. Most of the time, if there is a problem, it may be detected at that time. You should definitely raise your questions at your next prenatal visit. Good health.
