A member asked:

Im 33 old ,10 weeks pregnant. i had cataract in my right eye floaters caused vitroues detachment when i was 28. can baby be worn blind?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not from Ur problem: Your vitreous detachment related blindness is not inherited by your baby. There are a few, very rare causes of newborn blindness, like congenital rubella or even absence of an eye, but these would be unrelated to what you experienced.
