Albuterol: At the moment you should be using your albuterol iinhaler to alleviae your symptoms .the z pak (azithromycin) will only help if you have a secondary bacterial, infection. Use saline nose drops 4 times daily for your cold symptoms

Infection prevention: Zpak is used to treat upper respiratory infections by bacteria. In your case I am thinking your physician wants to prevent a lung infection. Continue treatment and of course do not stop your inhaler treatments. Did you get your Flu shot? Good Luck
