URI: If it is associated with runny nose it could be just a cold . If your baby is looking sick , has a true fever of greater than 100.5 degrees, or not acting well see the doctor immediately. If the cough persists see the doctor . If it is dry cough it could be allergic cough. Use a cool mist humidifier without any medication in it and avoid over the counter meds .

See a pediatritian : If your baby is under 6 months old, it is best to take him to the doctor whenever he is ill. If baby has trouble breathing or is coughing up green, brown, or yellow mucus, take him/her to the doctor immediately.
