Basic start: For any basic health concern, start with your primary care doctor. You'll get a blood test for the hormones: tsh, t4, t3 (liothyronine), (liothyronine) free t4, free t3 (liothyronine). They will also be able to get hints from the physical examination of your neck and body. Thyroid overactivity: high heart rate, palpitations/heart flutter, weight loss, heat intolerance thyroid underactivity: poor memory, weight gain, cold intolerance.
