Leiomyomas: Uterine fibroids are growths of the smooth muscle wall of the uterus that can at times reach enormous sized producing symptoms secondary to bleeding or bulk size. At times they undergo malignant degeneration and result in a lesion, the leiomyosarcoma. One can embolize the blood supply to the bulky lesion or perform hysterectomy
